Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring?

It is recommended to bring a towel, slippers, and a second towel or a robe for rest breaks.

How long does the ritual last?

Usually around 4 hours, but it is adjusted according to how you feel.

What should I tell the pirts (sauna) master before the ritual?

Before the pirts (sauna) visit, it is important to inform the pirts (sauna) master about any health conditions that may affect how you feel in the sauna. If you have any medical issues, it is recommended to consult a doctor. You can also mention anything else you feel is important so the ritual can be safe and suited to you.

Can I come in a swimsuit?

During the pirts (sauna) ritual the body is cleansed and cared for with water, scrubs, and whisks. Intimate areas are always respectfully covered with a towel or plants. To fully experience the warmth and the therapeutic touch, it is recommended to participate without clothing.

However, if nudity makes you uncomfortable, you are welcome to wear a swimsuit — your comfort and sense of safety are what matter most.

Can I rent the pirts (sauna) without a pirts (sauna) master?

Yes, you can.

Can I drink beer in the pirts (sauna)?

The pirts (sauna) is not the right place for alcohol — it prevents the body from fully relaxing and feeling the sauna’s effects. It is better to choose warm herbal tea or water to help the body cleanse and rejuvenate.

What is the temperature in the pirts (sauna)?

Pirts (sauna) rituals usually take place at around 60–65°C and can be slightly adjusted to your comfort. However, if you prefer temperatures above 70°C, this might not be the right place for you.
